What's in the Course

Are you new to the world of academia? If yes, you must be feeling slightly overwhelmed. Many people enter academia with the idea that they would spend most of their time doing exciting new research. But the reality is different. While research is definitely the most important aspect, there are some other equally important activities that a researcher has to perform. The most important of these is publishing your research in academic journals. This can be a daunting task for people who are new to academia. This course is designed to give you a better understanding of the overall publishing process so that you are not feeling at sea. Beginning with an insight into the importance of getting published in peer reviewed journals, the course takes you through the different stages in the journal publication process and helps you understand the types of scholarly literature. In addition, it provides a clear understanding of the different types of peer review. The course uses different learning tools like infographics, videos, SlideShare presentations, quizzes, etc. to make learning more enjoyable for you.
